Here I am in Sogndal on the west coast of Norway covering the Mountain Sport Festival for our local news/sport TV station. 3 days of high mountain sport coverage with some of Norway´s best free ride skiiers. Boxing - Norwegian Junior Championship

Boxing Junior NM

Did a story on a little village here on the west coast that has boxing fever. Today, they hosted the Norwegian Junior Championship in boxing. Boxing became popular a few years ago and today it is the most popular sport in the village. People from 5 to 55 years old box and popularity doesn't seem to end. Above you can see a shot from one of the maches.

Alpacas in Norway

Not much has happened lately, but here's an interesting story I did the other week. A farmer here in Norway got a shipment of 25 Apacas all the way from New Zealand. They had traveled for over a week before they got to their new home on the west coast of Norway.
Raising Alpacas is a new way of business for some of the farmers in Norway. The Alpaca fiber is used for knitting and used the same way as sheep's wool. It is a very expensive product.
My concern doing this story was getting spit on by the Alpacas. They actually spit quite far and it smells really bad, I've heard. But these guys from New Zealand were quite calm and cool! Here are some photos and the link to the story is below.
